Member Advice New Member Access Cards
Approximately 800 Club members are now in possession of their new
membership cards.
You will be able to use it
to enter the Club from midday
Thursday
20th January 2011 by 'swiping' it through the card
reader at the main entrances.
Should you lose your card, which is personal to you, please
advise the office immediately and at a small replacement cost
(part of which will be donated to charity), a new card will be
issued for you to collect, normally within one week, from the
office. All relevant information will be transferred from your
original card to your new one.
The Committee have decided that from 1
st February the
new cards will carry the following benefits / conditions:

The card may have funds added at the bar (either by
credit card or cash) and may then be used for any
purchases (within the credit level on your card) you
would normally make within each of the Clubhouses. The
minimum top up level has been reduced to £5.00.

As a result of the recent VAT rise and other increased
costs the current price of all bar drinks, food and snacks
will increase on 1st February by 5%.

If you choose to add sufficient credit to your card and use
it for purchases the price you pay for using this method will
discount the above increase. For example on 1st
February the cash price of an item currently costing £2.00
will increase to £2.10 but the price of this item,
purchased using a card with sufficient credit, will be
discounted back to £2.00.
The Committee believe the use of cards to make purchases in this way
will lead to a faster and more efficient service within the Club and
improve the level of security.
