THE CUMBERLAND HCC GOLF SOCIETY
The Cumberland / HCC Golf Society is open to all members of
the club who play golf and have a handicap.
Events include a spring and autumn meeting and a summer
knockout competition.
The next event will be the Spring meeting which has been
booked for Friday 13th April 2012 at Hendon Golf Club. This
includes an individual Stableford round in the morning and
Greensomes (9 holes) in the afternoon.
The Autumn meeting has been booked for Friday 5th October
2012, again at Hendon Golf Club. The format is similar to
the spring meeting but with Foursomes (9 holes) in the
afternoon as opposed to Greensomes.
If there are any golfers amongst you who are interested in
joining the Society or require further details, please contact
Sue Edwards at

The Cumberland HCC Golf Society - 2010 Report
The Golf Society continues to flourish with Spring and
Autumn meetings played at Hendon Golf Club as well as the
Winter and Summer Knockouts. Current Cumberland and past
Hampstead Cricket Club members play, some using it as a
forum for meeting up with old friends.
Pat Broadway stepped down from the organisation and we
want to thank him for all his hard work over the years.
Without him, it would not still be going. He has handed
over to Sue Edwards and Avril Munro .
The Winter Knockout was won by Scott Galloway, with
Torsten Bulborg winning the Summer Knockout.
The Spring and Autumn meeting winners are as follows:
Spring:
Singles Stableford (Sandison Trohy): Clara Farmiloe
Singles Stableford (Veteran’s Trophy): Michael Farmiloe
Greensomes (Orrell Marbles): Sue Edwards and Hugh McCormick
Autumn:
Single’s Stableford (Macleod Eagle): Michael Farmiloe
Gottla Goblets (Foursomes) : Michael Farmiloe and Sue Edwards
Pat’s Spoon (nearest the pin): Sandie Meacher
The 2011 Spring Meeting is being held at Hendon Golf Club on
Friday, April 8th and I would encourage you to join in if you
play golf and want an excellent day out. Details may be found
via the link on the left of this page.
